Question To Experts Re: Extension

Featured Replies

My visa expires on the 28th of August. My flight leaves Sept 15th...

What are my options and cheapest options to work around this.

Thanks.

What type of visa do you have? Tourist? Non-Immigrant? And what is your nationality?

currently residing in Jomtian for the remainder of the stay.

You can obtain a 30 day extension to your tourist visa by going to immigration. Fee 1900 baht + passport sized photo.

do i still have to make a run for the border? Or just apply there an all is well.

I heard about the 1,900 + another 900 for reentry fee... that true?

If you go to immigration to obtain 30 day extension of your permission to stay you do not have to do a border run. Just 1900 baht, that's it.

I hope the OP has a real tourist visa and not a 30 day visa exempt entry that he is mistakingly calling a visa.

Is your current stay 30 or 60 days (visa exempt or tourist)? If 60 days then you can get a 30 day extension of stay as above - if 30 days, from Canada, you can not.
