Non Imm O From Hull

Featured Replies

Hi I have a non imm o from Hull and my new boss has informed me that in Chiang Mai, where I am I can obtain a work permit on this visa from Immigration. I understand that working without a degree in teaching is against the law althoug most teacher seem to do that here, my boss has informed me that if she writes a personal letter with the correct documentation (excluding degree) I will not have to change my visa to a non b and will still be issued with a work permit on my current visa. Is this true or has been heard of??

The only visa requirement to get a work permit is that you have a non immigrant visa. It does not matter if it is a B or O.

Note: Work permits are not issued by immigration they are done a the labor deparment.

cool so does that count for teaching? Also any info on the having a degree part, will a w.p issued without one?

You are posting in 2 forums now. Lets deal here only with the WP and leave the rest of your question about teaching without a degree in the teaching forum.

Getting a work permit is no problem with your visa and subsequent extensions of stay.

The following labor department document does say you have to have a degree when applying for a work permit just an education certificate.
