can anyone offer advice on a good mobile phone with wifi capabilities? can you also tell me where you purchased the phone? i'm just trying to get a sense of what popular models are available here in Thailand and what you guys are using. i am also particularly interested in anyone using one of the newer blackberry models. thanks in advance!

I don't think anything can currently touch the iPhone for mobile internet. I'd only consider a BB if you plan to mainly use email and not much general web.

HTC Kaiser. cheap as old model, well built & very capable device if you are up to speed with using WM devices.

My work gave me a Blackberry, as said before good for email but horrible for browsing. I've used the I-phone for browsing and it's pretty neat.

Using Nokia E71, good and battery lasts ok for mobile. Easy to configure even MS email servers direct with Roadsync and fring will get you skype calls direct from your mobile easy.

I have had one for quite some time. I bought it when it first came out and paid about 10,000 baht at that time. I haven't been in any phone shops lately but if I remember correctly they are about 7,000 baht or less now. The call quality is excellent.

I don't see the Kaiser on http://www.htcthailand.com/, is that a 2007 model? Now the Touch Pro2 is the one to better. Very pleased with it so far.

I m using HTC Diamond 2 and happy with excellent quality and great camera!

iPhone is the only phone that is really good to surf and use internet easily.

Blackberry is only good for emails, but touch screen and OS far to be as good as iPhone.

I am using the G1 and it works to perfection. (selling it for 15,000 if anyone is interested). As I walk a lot at work, I am using the pen-like Haier phone.

For me it's the gps, the time I can use it before I have charge it again and the fact that the voip seem to be working better.

Just remember to wear eye protection when browsing. Lot of reports around for overheating batteries, cracked screens and phones exploding.

Authorities in France and EU seem to be concerned if it is safe to use these iphones anymore....

The E52 has several advantages and will be my next new phone. It charges from the USB, has GREAT battery life, has a 3.5 mm audio jack and has GPS which I don't really care for on a phone. I have two Garmins and both do a good job.
