Blackberry Curve 8900, Edge Always On?

Featured Replies

As the title says, Edge is always on.Does that mean I am paying for edge internet access all the time. I am on AIS GSM and have a package for 100 hrs/month. There is no off button for the Edge signal on the phone. Also, the Blackberry is supposed to have maps and a gps...doesn't! Anyone in the know? Thanx, Pluto.

That's why with a blackberry you need a blackberry account with AIS or Dtac.

AIS is 650 Baht/month and includes unlimited GPRS, and of course the pushmail service.

True Move also has blackberry service. I think it's around 600/month.

Edit: By blackberry service I meant unlimited data plan for the blackberry. For another 200 or so baht they give you a true wifi account.

Thank you. Sorted! 650 baht per month for unlimited service and free email.
