Chiropractor

Featured Replies

Hello.

I was wondering if you could help me.

I have been having a few back problems and am trying to explain to my wife that when we go on holiday to Thailand in a few weeks time I would like to see a chiropractor as the cost is much cheaper but I am finding it difficult to explain.

Could anyone please write it in Thai for me....many thanks in anticipation

For a start try looking up the word for chiropractor in a good Thai/English dictionary!biggrin.gif

I can recommend a chiropractor in Bangkok. I have had Dr Don on Sukhumvit Soi 23 work on me several times and he does good work. His number is 02 258 0350. If you go to the motorcycle taxi area at Sukhumvit and Soi 23 and tell them that you want to go to Dr Don's office you can get a ride to his office.

This is chiropractor in Thai using google language tools but my wife said it means "doctor who massages"

Chiropractic is not officially recognized as a medical profession in Thailand - thus I'd guess there is not a specific term for this.

You can try Dr Von at Health Therapies Clinic in Mahatun Plaza (Ploenchit BTS, 02-254-5857), or Dr Mark Leoni in Ekamai Soi 24 (02-711-5102). I've used both of them and can recommend them heartily.

Your wife is right. A หมอนวด is a masseuse not a chiropractor. I have never used them but I walk by a chiroprator's office nearly everyday when I'm in Bangkok. Their office is on the second floor of the Times Square building at the Asoke BTS station. Here's a link :Chiropractor
