Tot The Amazing Slowdown

Featured Replies

TOT 3Mbit is very fast for me in the mornings, and very slow in the evenings.

Is anyone else seeing this? Is this Thailand wide, or specific to my line?

I mean TOT sucks and there's always something or other wrong but the behavior now has been very consistent for months: It's fast in the morning, and slow as hel_l in the evenings (basically unusable in the evening).

Case in point, software update wanted to download about 400MB of updates (Apple's never heard of incremental updates). I started it yesterday evening, when it managed to download about 20MB in 5 hours then the computer ran out of battery and shut down.

This morning I turned the computer back on, and the updates finished in less than 20 minutes.

The never ending problem for everyone. I'm on TTT. Did you see CAT is looking at investing on improving things with stimulus funds?

Simpe! In the morning most kids are at school. When they finish they hit the internet shops to play games so the bandwidth drops and the internet slows. Get used to it! it is not going to get better anyday soon! :)

It is also called "Oversubscribing"

Too many connections are made for the available bandwidth.

It also does not really help that the Government installed so many snooping and filtering devices.
