Pc Wireless Speakers

Featured Replies

I just want to listen to my PC in the garden. Leave my PC in the office and have some speakers in the garden.

I have wireless local area networking (802.11b/g) on the PC as well as USB ports. I would be prepared to buy a Wireless Access Point to put in the garden if necessary.

I listen to mainly UK based talk radio - so the quality does not have to be that good.

I have looked all over Pattaya - even Dcom in South Pattaya - no speakers nor Internet radios at all. Does anyone know where there may be a selection of say Ethernet Wireless speakers. Its only about 40 feet - a bit too far for Bluetooth. I would settle for speakers that are not one of these standards or anything really that does not have wires. Any advice would be appreciated and save me a trip to Bangkok.

Thanks

Is it only for yourself, or do you want others to be able to listen in as well? Because if it's for yourself only getting a pair of wireless headphones could be a possible solution. I have had a pair of Sennheiser for 3 years now, and the sound quality is very good. Personally I like headphones better than speakers as they tend to give better sound when it's only yourself that should hear the music/movie/radio etc.

Also I think that Apple has made something that could help you as well, it's called Airport Express. it's a device that you can just plugin to a power outlet and it then has a mini jack and also an ethernet plug. It connects to your wireless network. Have a look here

Thanks dondela. I was really wanting to get speakers. I find earphones, even large ones, irritate me after a short while. I will look at the link. Thanks again, can this be bought in Pattaya???

edit: yes that looks good. I think there is an Apple shop in Pattaya - I will go there. I didn't think of Apple products for the PC, but the n standard covers b and g as well - even though if I think its still a draft version. Thanks again.
