European stamps from the 50's are not highly sought after, unless they are special commemorative's and then it depends on the country and the event. If they have been cancelled this makes them less likely to have much value at all, as most collectors seek mint never hinged stamps.

I have no idea how you define "good" in this situation.

Thanks for the replies, i figured they would not be worth much, only 18 stamps from my childhood collection, Mother had them in a draw and gave them to me a few years back.

I did send an email onto Mystic stamp Co.(where i purchased them in 1954-55) and waiting for reply. Probably back to a drawer in the end..
