Took the advice of quite a few people in this forum and opted to use Ralph Davies (Davies Khan Assoc) professional help in applying for a Visa.

I was worried about having my girlfriend application rejected.

Well they were extremely helpful and answered my emails and urgent phone calls even on the bank holiday.

They spoke to my girlfriend in Thai which really helped in a few confused moments of our making.

Anyway from surmitting the paperwork at VFS it took just 1 week to get the Visa and I would like to thank Ralph and Pim for their friendly and professional service.

1 week sounds good, iv been waiting over 5 weeks now, and no reply. by the time i get an answer from the embassy il expect il have to pay top dollar for flights as it will be last minute.. starting to wish id just used an agent now..5 weeks + to wait for a possible rejection is a long time.. the only thing i worry about now is if i get a rejection for my gf visa on the grounds of reason for return,, how would an agent 're word' my application. without thinking i was trying to pull the wool..? thanks for the recomendation.

Still not heard? You really should get in touch with the Visa application center. Something is not right.

I would definitely contact them. It is very unusual for a tourist visa application to take more than 10 days to process but there may be something in the background that needs investigating in depth befor a decision can be made. They will not give you any information but will speak to the applicant.
