One2call And The Internet

Featured Replies

Sell a card(pay as you go) of some description where I can use my mobile to hook my laptop to the internet. Any links would be greatly appreciated. Oh I have a pay as you go phone.

Cheers

Call their service number (1175?) and ask them to activate it. You can choose different plans based on how many hours you expect to use.

Dial *138 and listen carefully to the options.

You're looking for one time packages, or for monthly recurring packages.

Don't worry about listening a few times to the options, the call is free.

Once you know what you need, choose it and if enough credit is available on your phone for the chosen package, it'll be activated almost instantly. You'll receive an sms message when it is activated...

Hi

may also pay to check the features of the phone to see if it can use the faster CDMA connection called EDGE i think, otherwise its about 50kb same as dialup. Alternatively you could use a EDGE usb dongle with a sim installed into it and get about 46oKb

...links, cant post em.

good luck

Cheers.

CDMA is an entirely different technology and has nothing to do with GPRS/EDGE, which are both on the GSM system.

Topspeed of GPRS is about 64 kbps (average maybe 40 kbps) while the topspeed of EDGE is 238 kbps (average 80-150 kbps).

Technicaly Edge can handle up to 460 kbps, but no operator allows this in Thailand as the faster speeds requires 8 timeslots (as opposed to 4 for the 238 kbps), resulting on one transmission cell only able to support very few users...
