September 8, 200916 yr I am currently staying on a Non Immigrant O visa. The company I have started working for are in the process of applying for a work visa for me. They say I need to change my visa from Non O to Non B. Does anyone know how this can be done - can I do it in Thailand or do I need to leave the country. If I can do it in say Penang, what documents do I need to show to get a Non B ? Thanks
September 8, 200916 yr Unless your visa has been extended for retirement there should not be any need to change. Are they sure? As you already have a non immigrant visa you would have to leave and obtain a new visa with full supporting paperwork for the job.
September 8, 200916 yr The comments from your employer do not sound right. You can obtain a WP against NonO visa (as well as NonB). So there is no need to change. The requirement is to have a Non-Immigrant visa to support WP application (although O-A and ED are excluded). Take a peep at Section 2D of the BOI website relating to documents required for obtaining a WP here Edited September 8, 200916 yr by thaiphoon
