Lost Remote For Dvd Player

Featured Replies

I lost my remote for my Yugo DVD Player and I can not find the universal remote codes anywhere on the internet.

I know everyone is going to say "Why dont you just go buy a new Player?" I know it is a very cheap Thai brand, I just would like to see if I can find the codes first.

If anyone knows where to find the universal remote codes i would appreciate it.

Thanks.

Hi

the codes would depend on the universal remote your using? strangely the remotes are universal but the codes are not, maybe try an auto search with a universal or get a learning remote and train it up from a store's remote for the same model dvd player.

cheers.

I don't know how old that unit is but the new/cheap players can handle xvid and other AVI formats (as you have on computer) as well as USB memory sticks - so you are not limited to DVD format/disc. As these sell for under 1,000 baht would not waste too much time on a missing remote if you could use the new features.

Reminds me of the old Lada joke:

Motorist: Can you give me a new fan-belt for my Lada?

Garage salesman: That sounds like a good swap.

We just replaced our Samsung tv remote it was dead. Amorn electronics In Sri Cha - Pattaya- Bangkok or maybe other cities. Or any of the com city type shops will have remotes. Most remotes are the same generic set up as the original. 70 baht! you should not have to reset the code for the DVD as the remote is not the dvd itself & was already setup to play Asia & English formats. Even a universal remote if you know the brand you just enter the brand code(supplied in the directions & you are good to go.

I just noticed you posted it is a Yugo.... I hope your kidding, if it has anything to do with the auto Yugo made for 3 years & bankrupt you will be SOL. If they still carry the "Yugo DVD they should have a remote for it although I am not sure if you got a universal remote it is even listed in the numbers to enter to get it to work. You might try taking the DVD player to an electronic center with a DVD you know works & see if they can get a remote to match up. If not buy a Pioneer, It is the easiest to get any DVD to play . When we get our 2nd house built I will bin the Samsung & get a user friendly Pioneer with the USB port for a stick drive to get rid of the DVD old school thing.

Phuket is big enough to have a com city type center.

Yes I understand the remotes are universal. I am trying to find out where I can find the codes for a Yugo DVD Player.

Thanks

With all due respect, this sounds like a cheap or re-branded DVD player.

The major brands are all listed on the back of these "universal remotes" and given that these are also very cheap you might as well buy one and then just go throught the list until you find one that works.
