Hey guys

Does anybody know of any football teams (expat or Thai) in Issan that play in a league or for fun

that welcome or need new players?

I understand that Issan is big, but I don't know untill I ask.

By the way I'm no Alan Hansen (greatest defender the world has seen).

Clearly having no luck :) .

The next best thing would be to ask if anyone else in Isaan is at least looking to hook up and have a kick around.

It doesn't have to be every week, once a month maybe.

There must be some of you guys out there who have not lost the touch!!!

This will be the last time I ask :D .

Here in Buriram you can see a game of football on virtually every school football field, most evenings and at the weekend, being played but Thai kids, teens and so on.

How's your Thai language?

If it's Ok then why not join in. In my experience they'd love it. The older ones would also probably remember Alan Hansen. Turn up in a Liverpool shirt. That should start a conversation.

The greatest defender the world has ever seen?????

Couldn't stop Lawrie Sanchez in 1988!!!!!

Up the Wombles!!!!

Hey Alan Hansen :)

I play in a Football Team in Wangsammo, near Udon, and I'm the only Falang there...but's lot of Fun. It's kind of a Hobby Team...we playing sometimes against the Hospital Team or Police. Where about you're staying in Isaan?

I'm in Sakon Nakhon. It's probably a good 3 hr drive to Udon.

What side of Udon is Wangsammo?

Wang Sa Mo is actually right between Sakhon and Udon a little more South, closed to Somdet(may be 1h drive). I'm sure you'll find it on the map. I'll be back in the first week of november. If you like you can join us. just send me a e-mail.

See ya
