Baboonboy22 Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Hello All, It's been a while since my last visit to the forum. The Mrs is nice and settled in the UK now.. working like mad, and is commenting on the weather as actually being hot on days! Anyhoo, We want to bring her mum over for a visit. Should I write the sponsorship letter from the both of us Or just from me as I'm the sponser? We don't want make any confussion for the Visa people, as we all know that they like things straight forward Also we will be paying for my in-law's trip, As I now have a mortgage and all the rest of the bills to pay for, the money in my account isn't as much as when I was sponsoring the wifes trips to the UK. So should we include my wifes bank statements as well in the supporting documents? Thanks guys.
ThaiVisaExpress Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Its a family visit either may sponsor or jointly just write a covering letter as an individual or a couple.
7by7 Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 And I would include bank statements and pay slips for both of you, to show as much in the way of available funds as possible.
Baboonboy22 Posted September 14, 2009 Author Posted September 14, 2009 When writing our sponsor letter, how much info do I need to put about my wifes visa? Just what type she has, or do you think they would want more than that?
Baboonboy22 Posted September 14, 2009 Author Posted September 14, 2009 Also we will be having a friend of ours stay with us at the same time as my mother in law and they will be travelling together. Our friend will be funding her own trip, but we will be sponsoring her. Should we mention them in each others sponsor letters? or just keep them both completely separate?

Keep them seperate as each case is decided on it's merits. You should have no trouble with the mothers visa as family visits are given very careful consideration and carry a right of appeal.
Baboonboy22 Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 With regards to the supporting documents, when providing proof of a relationship I am struggling a bit. My mother-in-law doesn't use a computer so no emails, unfortunately my wifes mobile and our house phone bills are not itemised - so we can not show when phone. The only thing we have is photos and a few money transfer receipts. Is that going to be enough???
7by7 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Your wife's birth certificate should be enough to prove their relationship.
