Retirement Visa Extension

Featured Replies

Yes, it's my first time! :)

Apologies if this has been covered lately.

I did a search but ended up a little confused. :D

I live near Sawang Arom in Uthai Thani, married to a Thai lady for 5 years

Our first baby is due next week BTW!

I have the 800K Baht in the Bangkok Bank (since I arrived late last year).

I had my third visit to Mae Sot last week (90 day border run).

The stamp says I can stay until 08 December 2009.

I want to apply for a 12 month extension.

My passport expires in April next year.

The immigration officer said I could (soon?) apply for that in Nakhon Sawan*.

*Is this yet another rumour?

It would be much more convenient than Mae Sot or Tuk - which is as far away from here as Bangkok.

Can one of you kind gentlemen please give me an easy-to-understand list?

(a list suitable for those with early-onset of dementia, Alzheimers and Parkinsons). :D

What do I need to prepare and what do I need to take with me to obtain that extension?

Many thanks

I do not know of any immediate plans for Nakhon Sawan but believe you should should probably be using Auttaya as Suphon Buri has been told to use them now. There are a lot of changes this month and no new information of who goes where.
