Just happened to be picking up my medicine at Bangkok Samui Hospital today when an elderly Thai woman was wheeled in dying with stab wounds to the chest, the result of a daylight robbery according to the resident doctors. An horrific sight with medics applying CPR and many wailing grief stricken relatives. One wonders with just one accidental encounter like this, how many more horror stories lay untold. Let's see if the media (Samui Express ?) makes a mention, if not then we know anarchy is setting in !

Watch your backs ! :)

when i first read the op i almost made a quick reply that it was probably a family member but i rethought that move and did not post as i thought it would be in poor taste.

The update is from the emergancy room so i trust the source. the fact is that it was not just the old woman but her son was also killed in this attack that took place in their home. There was another son present when this happened but he escaped the attack.

Who did it? the gardner

Why? he asked for some water and the brother gave him grief for asking.

moral of the story? (fill in the blank)___________________________

last month i had my pocket picked 3 times one attempt to snatch the gold chain from around my neck, i saw a western guy beaten so badly by a thai gang he needed over 140 stiches. i was in solo and saw a guy get shot and murdered, all this in one month. furtunatly i alway caught the pick pockets with there hands in my pocket so i lost nothing but Samui is a very dangerous place now. uk news report brits are more likley to end up in hospital than any other county in the world and that 328 brits were killed in thailand last year more than any country outside the uk, obviously mostly motor bikes but still suprising report when you consider 750,000 brits visit thailand against 4 million who to spain yet deaths are higher in Thailand

yes thats what i thought watch your pockets in sound bar, proabably the places i hang out are not the best but places like sound and solo should be safer after all they are places for tourist to go. i told security but they were not bothered. still all i can now is som nam na that no tourist are not using samui now.
