Is My Computer Going Crazy

Featured Replies

Today I swiched on my computer read TV.com and then I started searching for some spare parts for the trailers I build and all of a sudden Windows security alarms me I have hundreds of virus on my computer

And no, it was not a pop up since I have them blocked. So it took me a while to shut down the computer

and after booting it up again I done a scan with Avast and some other programs and guess what happen?

No virus at all. So I wonder why I got the message and where did it come from, I am confused now.

Anybody know the answer? Be easy with me I am a computer illiterate. :)

OK guys I worked out :)

Anti-virus is not enough. I'd advise you to also scan for malware and trojans. Sounds to me like you've been hit by what is known as a 'drive-by exploit'. Use Malwarebytes or SUPERAntiSpyware to scan your computer. You need only download the FREE version.

I have all this and no one tells me I have a virus :)
