Best Place To Xchange Thai Baht For Usd

Featured Replies

I'm in need of about $3,000 USD cash.

All my money is in SIAM Commercial bank in a thai baht savings account

I need about 1,500 this week, and 1,500 in November.

How/where is the best way to get a good exchange rate and get my money converted?

What type of exchange rate is considered "good" this week ?

I've never done this before - I'm in Chiang Mai

thanks

Don't know of any good changers in CM. If you can get down to BKK, then head over to SuperRich1965 (google it.) Your bank, SCB can change to USD for you but many times, I find that most banks here do not have sufficient USD/EUR/CHF/GBP to give you (unless you are in BKK). You can also try the airport at the ticketing/departure area as they will likely have USD but expect the rate to be the worst there. At an SCB branch, they will sell you 1 USD for about 33.85 baht as of today (if they have USD cash on hand).

IN Bkk - Next to Siam Paragon/National Stadium (BTS) is an exchange counter that has some of the better rates for customers. If you want more specifics send me an email.

Look online for the current international rates as reference.
