Double Entry Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

I've asked some of these questions before, on the end of another thread, but it rolled away unanswered.

I want a two entry tourist visa. But this would be the second I've had this year. I've been away from Thailand for a couple of months.

Previously (in the prior three years), I used to stay in Thailand on tourist stamps, which suited me fine, as I spent much more time in other Asian countries, perforated by brief stays in Thailand.

1. So the first question is obviously... Could I be refused a Tourist Visa on the basis of this new crackdown on back to back visas?

2. Is Kota Baru definitely off the list now for two entry tourist visas? It's where I got the last one. I might like to take a leisurely trip, spending time at various places in Malaysia, then enter Thailand over land.

3. I'm in KL now. I know KL is a good choice for visas. But someone mentioned I have to show flight tickets. I have two problems with this. It rules out the Cameron Highlands, etc. And I could buy tickets then be refused a visa on the basis of this crackdown. Do I need to show tickets both ways? Or just into Thailand? Or just leaving Thailand?

Am I the first one to reply to this? impossible. There's always a slew of replies.

Well, Don't rightly know son. (he he)

If you've been to Kota Baru or any foreign cities

Thai embassy you can never go back there

again. You've have to keep going to a new city.

That was how I understood it before the crackdown.

Now it might be better explained by Fred Flinstone.

Wiiiilmaaa? (boom) (boom) (boom) (boom) .

(Sorry)

KL had been reported to give single entry tourist visas without hassle.

No ticket needed.

Since you have been out of Thailand some time it's not back to back visa.

In the end, they only issued me a single entry (S) visa. They didn't say they were going to do this, or explain why - it's just what they gave me.

Would I have had better luck at Kota Baru?
