Pattaya Under Water Once Again Following Night Of Heavy Rainfall.

Featured Replies

Pattaya, September 23 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : For those unfortunate enough to be out and about on Tuesday Night, you would have been pretty angry, especially if you were wearing your favorite cloths or had spent hours making yourself look presentable. Heavy sustained rainstorms once again left parts of Pattaya under nearly a meter or water in places. The usual hotspots led to traffic chaos and we were out and about to survey the flooding. We visited the Sukumvit Road between Central and South Pattaya where some even abandoned their vehicles. We were also informed that 50 houses in the Central and North Pattaya areas had been severely damaged by the floods. We hope that these pictures will encourage the local authorities to continue their drainage upgrade and maintenance work around Pattaya.

It makes me wonder why anyone would drive a car rather than a pick-up/SUV in Pattaya/Thailand...I've driven right through half a meter flooded roads while the cars a stuck waiting on high-ground for the flood waters to recede :)
