What difference does it make on a wii where it is made ? I see korean, japan, america etc. when looking to buy a modded one, just want to know which one is best for thailand. Oh and i have had a ps2-ps3, I just want a fun machine this time around.

The only difference is the firmware.

You can buy any region and have it flashed to the ara of your choice.

Problem being, If you have a US wii (ntsc) and you mod it and then insert a Australian game (pal) and it updates. You will then be the owner of a brick.

Some of the newer Mod chips will stop this so buy wisely.

Updates are attached to games , so when you insert the game and it asks you to update, then you take a change of bricking your unit.
