Hi Folks

Submitted application for first FLR 8 weeks ago . Was wondering how long

you have waited or if you are still waiting for decision .

My main concern is confidence in Royal Mail . If the Post is lost this will

result in long overstay as Fiance visa expired end of August .Thus could be

problem if application refused .

As long as the application was submitted in time the current leave to remain will be automatically extended until a decision on the FLR application is made.

How did you send it? Recorded delivery at least, I hope.

Thanks for reply 7by7

Yes application was forwarded Recorded and heavilly insured. Documents

received and Biometrics done by UKBA

.I am aware extension of leave is granted until application is determinned.

Worse case scenario i was inferring to was if application was refused and

Post is lost this will create problems re appeal .Further Applications etc

UKBA inform me verbally after 14 weeks i may enquire if post is lost.

However i digress my main post was to enquire how long people have

waited and not the my worry of consequences if post lost

We submitted my wife's FLR application last August and it took about 14 - 15 weeks before we got it returned to us. I called up around the 12 week mark and they were very unhelpful and basically told me to wait.
