ayakiawe
Hi, my Thai girlfriend's Thai passport is about to expire in about 6 monhts. We live in Samui and she would like to extend it 5more years. Dont really want to go all the way to BKK to extend. I heard something abut a new service that will extend passports in the Thai post offices? Is this true? The Samui post office couldnt help us? Any body know the scoop? sbk
don't know about the post office, but if you can't then you can always go to Hat Yai. my husband got his passport there, took him 15 minutes to go through, the place was empty, and they mailed the passport to us. if you hear anything about the PO passport extension, i'd love to hear. dr_Pat_Pong
I don't think post offices can do extensions. It would follow that they could also issue passports, and MFA wouldn't share that task with outsiders. Security alone would be a big problem. dr_Pat_Pong
I stand corrected. It certainly isn't commonly known yet. Ayakiawe indicated that Samui Post Office knows nothing so far. T i T
