Computers

I live in a remote village were there are no phone lines. I have UBC sattalite dish and a mobile phone and Ive heard a computer can be operated with either but that its poor quality. Also, these can be expensive for the service they provide.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can get hooked up to the internet? Also, I believe most of these gadgets get better and cheaper with time. Maybe I would be better off waiting till the tecnology improves.

Check out CAT CDMA

There have been many posts on this forum about it. 840 Baht / month unlimited at up to 3.1Mb/s

I am sure there is lots of infomratiion at http://www.catcdma.com/home.htm but none of it is in English

Call the CAT hotline 1322 to see if there is coverage in your area, but your chances are very good.

I can only comment on the DTAC Internet Sim.

If you have a strong signal it will work, are you near a Mobile tower?

I pay 1100bt a month and can connect virtually anywhere in the country.

Unltd downloads! Too slow for video or VOIP.
