Bangkok Ring Rd #9

Featured Replies

I wish to know if the #9 Ring Road from the Bangna Trad Highway and over the Bridge to Rd #37 and hooking up with #9 west is ready yet.

It is actually called the Bang Phli-Suk Sawat Expressway and when I look at it on Google Maps it seems as if the bridge over the Chaophaya is not finished yet, but of course maybe quite outdated.

Many thanks for any up to date info.

It opened last year.

So are we saying the ring road around BKK is completed now?

Sure is, although there is still some construction at the northwest corner which slows down traffic, and the entire northern leg is not in the best condition possible.

Bonobo----much appreciate your input--thanks.

But just to understand fully, if I get off at Bangna Trad and head West on #9 (over the River) and over #4 heading Nth and get off at #340, I will encounter just a little construction delay, but basically fine (travelling about midday timeline). Thanks in advance for final enlightenment.
