expat4493 Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Hi My sister has a school supply business in the UK. She asked me to send some samples of Thailand School unforms with a view to seeing if they can supply her. Does anyone know where you buy School Uniforms in Bangkok. I dont remember seeing them in Robinsons or Central. Many thanks in advance for any info. Chris
Moonrakers Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 I think that the schools tend to sell them themselves. We buy our daughters uniform direct from her school. Asides from that you might want to try Big C or Carrefour, although to be honest shopping is not my forte and I could be way out.
beechguy Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 (edited) I have seen some in Carrefour before, and there are some small local type shops just east of the Victory Monument intersection. Also, possibly some of the shops in the weekend markets have some. Edited October 10, 2009 by beechguy
beano2274 Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 there is a big store in the Mall Ngamwongwan I think its on the second floor on the left hand side at the back as you are looking at the back of the mall, next to Jay Mart if I remember correctly
kevc Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Try Pratunam Market I used to buy ethnic traditional kids costumes for my brothers UK business there and I'm sure they sell school uniforms as well.
DP25 Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 You can buy university student uniforms at some of the stalls in MBK.

onnut Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 you can buy them in JJ Market, but to be honest, I do not think the Thai ones will fit anyone in the western world! well, I thought it was funny...
PattayaParent Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 For the 3 weeks before the start of school terms the supermarkets (Carrefour, Big C, Lotus) are full of them. Once term has started they disappear and you need to go to local markets. But I don't know any schools in UK that would wear the same uniforms as the Thai school uniform?

tomwct Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 My wife works for the Ministry of Agriculture but has a business on the side as most mid-level government employees! She makes girl uniforms from toddler to high school and can purchase boys through her manufacturing contacts in bulk!!! She hires work at home Moms in small villages around Korat and the quality is excellent!! She pays piecemeal, so the ladies can earn as much income as they want!!! These can also be sold as OTOP products since they are made in villages!!! She sold approximately 15,000 pieces this past year and would be willing to take more orders for delivery May through January (Off Season for Thailand)!!! We would make arrangements through you and your English contacts would need to be responsible for shipping from Thailand!!! My wife has been in the business for 20 years! Contact me if you need more info!! Tom <*phone number deleted*> //OP can contact via PM if necessary
