Thailand Book Fair

Featured Replies

Hey if anyone is interested the Thai Book Fair is being held at Queen Sirikit Center from today (the 15th) until Sunday (the 25th).

Here's the info on the Queen Sirikit Center website;

And here is the book fair website info as well;

It is usually a great place to browse around for thai language stuff, but with that being said, be forewarned: On the weekends it is packed with people. I mean shoulder to shoulder in every aisle. It makes for a bad time of it if someone is claustrophobic or has a fear of large crowds. :)

What is good, is they have thai books at just about every level of reading from basic kids stuff right on up. :D

The topics are various and sundry and it is not the best organized show as the publishers have their own booths, so you won’t find all the educational stuff in one area, but need to wander around a bit.

I have found it is a good place to go for language resources though.

Just thought I'd mention it...

Went last year and the selection was really good. Like you say, beware if you visit on the weekend as it gets jam packed.
