tcbgirl
Hi, I am mom of 3 little boys ages 5, 3.5 and 22 months. My husband and I are from Thailand and both of us got all the vaccines recommended when we were little. We are planning to take the kids to Thailand next month and just found out that the doctor here wants them to get Typhoid and Hep A vaccines. I normally separate the vaccine so no more than one at a time. Do children in Thailand have these two shots this young? I am going to pick just one vaccines to give to them but I cannot decide. Right now, all of them just gotten over the H1N1 Flu so their immune system is still low. Could you please advice? Thank you very much, Anissa P.S. I did ask the doctor about BCG shot but they do not have it in the U.S. Edited October 15, 2009 by tcbgirl
PMNL
Hep A is very good to get it for your kids. there is a few different kind of HAV vaccine for different age group. For example Avaxin 80u pediatric is suitable for the 3 of your. Thyphoid is not really the must but you may follow your doc advise. The two vaccines are not in the normal recommendation for thai kids according to the Health department and Pediatric infectious disease society.
