I've been living in Phuket since December 14th of 2009. I stayed my first month without a visa (just a 1 month stamp), received 3 consecutive single entry tourist visas in Penang, Malaysia and I'm currently on my last few days of a 15 day stamp from Burma. People have been telling me I cant go back to Penang for another visa, so I'm wondering if there is another place I can take an organized bus trip to, and if anyone can recommend a company (I live in Chalong). I have also heard that Thai embassies in Malaysia are closed until the 25th of this month or something along those lines - can anyone confirm this?

I don't know if the following information is of any use but I figured I would add it just in case:

- I am not working legally or illegally. My mother sends me chunks of an inheritance via Western Union (or puts it straight into my account) every month when it is released, which is how I cover my expenses.

- I do not have a return flight back to Canada (I hold a Canadian passport).

- I am training in Muay Thai, which is my main purpose here, and can obtain an invitation letter from the gym if it would be useful on my next visa run...?

Organized visa runs are essential for me as I have very bad anxiety that I can keep under control for the most part, but I'd probably throw myself off a cliff if I had to make a bus trip alone and do a bunch of border hopping with no guide/help. I know it sounds immature, probably childish; it is something I am trying to remedy but I am not ready to go galavanting around on my own yet lol.

Also, I've heard some people fly in and out of Thailand every month for a new 1 month stamp. Can I just pick a random airport (Cambodia, Singapore, etc) and fly there and back within a day or would I need to stay overnight?

You could probably get a double entry tourist visa from Vientienne Laos. Free of charge.

There is nothing to stop you flying to another country and flying back again to get 30 days. If that is what you want to do.
