hi guys

just looking for a bit of info for a friend

my friend has got his thai g/f here on a visitors visa and wanted to know if it was possible for him to marry her while she is here on the visit visa

It is possible.

Unless she has a marriage visit visa she would need to apply for a certificate of approval.

As she is in the UK with a visit visa, she would not be able to apply for settlement once married. Visit visas cannot be converted to another category in the UK. If she wanted to apply for settlement she would have to return to Thailand to do so.

It maybe easier to marry in Thailand , That way you can get married and put your Settlement visa in. Get your paperwork done book your visa appointment to submit it with your chest ex ray , can all be done in 3 days.
