October 20, 200916 yr Auto boy is the one at Nathon, rip off merchants.Had wheel alignment & balance done there, charged 1 1/2 times the published charges,when queried, just shrugged her shoulders. I used to buy my tyres in Surat, now buy them opposite Tesco, great service & won't rip you off.

I wanted the phone number for autoboy, because I was going to get my girl to ring up and ask them the prices in Thai, rather than walk in myself... The place oppose Tesco had some 265 x 70 x 16 Goodrich tyres. 4 for 19,000 Baht. Not bad. Can you remember what you paid and for what size? Matt. Bluechip IT Samui Co., Ltd. Matt, My tyres were different type & size, but from memory they were the same or close to the price I paid in Surat 2 years previous. He has a new wheel balance machine, if you need alignment , just use Toyota.

My Thai friend (southern Thai) rang them the next day for a quote and it was the same, so they're not overpricing for us farangs. 8D I'm going to go there Sunday when I have some cash and new tyres. Just in time for the rainy season... where ever that is!?... Matt. Glad you are happy with him. Last time I got new tyres, he didn't have the balancing machine, so I went to our mates in Nathon. Last week got a puncture, got talking to him & noticed the new machine & told him the story & why I would never go back to Nathon again. I think he got the message about my feelings & others about double/over pricing. As I said the guy was straight up & down with me from the start, more reason for me to support him. Good luck with rainy season, they are not always on time or that severe.
