This is more of a request for information than an actual topic.

My husband and I are both South Africans. We are 29 and 30 years old. We currently have Non-immigrant B visas which was issued on the 8th of May 2009. (multiple entry). We are going home for a visit in April 2010. We are buying a return ticket from Bangkok, back home and back again. Which means we will arrive here without a return ticket. The date on the visa shows that it will expire on 8 May 2010. We have been told that this visa can be extended for another 3 months.

What we would like to know is if they will allow us back without a return ticket?

Can we extend this visa at the Embassy for another 3 months?

The return ticket rule only applies for people wanting to enter the Kingdom on 30 day visa exempt entry. With a visa you do not need a return ticket. Wih multi-entry Non-Immigrant visa you will get 90 day permission to stay on each entry whilst your visa is valid, so do a border run just before your visa expires and you will get another 90 day permission to stay, stretching the visa to 15 months.

Yes

Yes...but doesnt need to be done at the Embassy...

this visa can only be extended by 7 days not Three month, to get an additionnal three month you need to come back to the country the day BEFORE the 'enter before" date printed on the visa sticker so it appears to be the 7th of may for you.

while you're in your country, apply for another non-X immigrant visa, it'll be the best solution for you.
