Ubuntu Any version can be downloaded from the Ubuntu website in a few hours, and once burnt to a CD you can try it without risk of harm to your Windoze system, and once suitably impressed can set up your PC to dual boot so you can run either OS until you are confident enough to decide that Bill Gates no longer needs your hard earned cash.
October 23, 200916 yr Author You can order a Cd if your Internet is slow and you don't want to waste a whole day downloading a 700 MB cd image . If you can download a CD image you can download a copy from Ubuntu website. Kubuntu also looks very promising with KDE 4 , if you are migrating from Windows, Kubuntu is a good choice.
