I took the river tour then, and went to the floating market. It looked much the same. But I imagine the big changes were in Pattaya...at least they had started by then. Nice to see the photos from that time. I was down in Phuket in 1979...but I didn't think to take pictures then. Wish I had, the changes from then to now would blow your mind. I had the chance to buy some land on the beach in Phuket in 1979...didn't have the money then. If I had, I might have been rich now.
