Is the new immigration office on chaeng wattana open today? I cant seem to find the holiday dates list.. and its term break now.. not sure if relevant.

Friday the 23rd was the holiday. Some of the Thai newspapers will list the Holidays. Check there.

Try 2009 Thailand holidays in Google. Be sure to include the year or you will most likely end up with tourist pages.
