Featured Replies

A syphilis blood test is now required from my understanding.

Better to be safe than sorry.

My understanding too. Slight rule change from 5th March 2009 for all new WP applications (not renewals), but you have always needed a medical certificate anyway to get a WP.

Yes, it came as a bit of a shock when asked for a syphilis test for new WP applications!

This has been law since March 09 and they can now ask for a negative "test" for the following:

1. โรคเรื้อน Leprosy

2.วัณโรค Tuberculosis

3.ซิฟิลิส Syphilis

4.ติดสารเสพติด Drug addiction

5. พิษสุราเรื้อรัง Alcoholic

6.โรคเท้าช้ง Elephantiasis

I work for a private company so I don't know if this is also law for those in Government schools or not...has anyone recently applied for a new WP at a gov school?
