Now that i know which form to fill out (thanks 7by7) i'm confident i have most of the documentation needed, although there is one thing i'm not quite sure of. I live with my parents in a small 2 bedroomed house, my parents are owners of the house and they are quite happy for my wife to move in.

I dont intend to live with my parents if my wifes visa is granted, i'll just find a rented house when i know whats happening, i dont see the point of moving out just yet.

How are the vfs or visa people going to see this? Is it best to take a chance on my parents house with a letter from them stating that they are willing for my wife to stay? Or do i need to move out now as i dont think the visa people sre going to like the fact that "i'll rent a place when she gets here"

Thanks for help in advance.

I would include mortgage statements or property deed as proof that your parents own the house, and also include a letter from your parents stating that they are happy for you and your wife to reside with them. In your sponsor letter state that initially you and your wife will be residing with your parents whilst you search for your own accommodation. Also state that you would like to make a joint decision with your wife on where you both want to end up living. I think that you will find that 4 adults living in a 2 bedroom house is within the rules. Good luck.

Ensure you inform them its for short term only ?

As they may expect you to have a room for your exclusive use etc.

In your covering letter explain you intend to rent your own property on arrival .
