Billion Sky Router

Featured Replies

Hi

Anyone know where to get an update for the firmware for a Billion Sky Router (the standard piece provided with a True contract)

I cant find it and just want to stop the annoying true.co.th coming up every 10th or so page when browsing

All Billion router firmware and other info can be found HERE

Do a search by your model number.

Is that what needs to be done to stop those annoying re-directs to the True site? Were you able to do it ok, and did it work?

Billion Sky isn't listed on site. The only way to find out the *real* model number is to take the router apart.

The router series is printed on the board and should be one of these:

BiPAC 5102s; BiPAC 5112s; BiPAC 5200s; or BiPAC 5210s

^ I'm not sure which, since it has been awhile since I done this...

No, I never did it, but I got the router 4 years ago from TRUE and never had this problem.

I would not try to re-load the firmware on a router provided by TRUE. They make changes to which you'll not have access via the user interface but which they require to work properly.

I had a problem when we got the router Billion BIPAC 5102G. The router has 4 LAN sockets and WI-FI but I was not able to connect more than 3 users at any one time (the router allows up to 100 users!).

Called TRUE and were told the settings can not be changed. My wife called again and asked for info about the importer of the router where TRUE buys is from and was given the required info. A company in the Pahonyothin and Soi Aree area in BKK at that time. Went there and they did some firmware modifications and now we have up to 32 users, more than we'll ever need.

My suggestion is to try to find the importer who is also most likely to install the TRUE firmware and talk to them.
