Configure Windows Xp-thai Script

Featured Replies

Dear all,

Kindly please advice if possible.

Ive bought a Dell original netbook comes with original XP Home cd. Ive activated the thai script there. All legit.

I have also bought a used P4 desktop that comes with XP Pro but without cd- so I cant activate the language pack there.

Anyone out there with suggestions as to how I can get Thai scripts on my desktop?

As a last resort, maybe reformatting my desktop from Xp Pro to Xp Home is of any help? Can that be done-ie using the cd from the Xp Home and inserting it to my desktop-will I be in violation of any licence conditions?

All advice greastly appreciated.

Thanks!

You don't need a legit copy of XP to install the language pack if I remember correctly. You just need the Windows installation CD with the same version as your installed version.

Ive tried the resource link to microsoft for the language pack from previous threads here at TV- microsoft actually checks for genuine copy before I can download-so Im stuck there.

My desktop doesnt have the cd-xp pro, thats why I cant install it.

Is it possible to extract the language files /folder from my xp home cd and copy and paste onto my desktop via a usb? Will it void my netbook xp home warranty?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers!
