May the Mother of the River (Mae Nam) bring you full happiness in this very wonderful time in our beloved city of Chiang Mai , and may all your cares float away like the flaming lanterns (hom fai) drift away into the full-moon sky.

Time to rejoice : the harvest is in, the weather cool and dry; the Nagas have returned to lolling about in the waters that surround Tavatimsa heaven (meaning the danger of flooding has passed).
