November 3, 200916 yr Hi Have changed my internet from Maxnet Indy 5mb to maxnet Premier 3mb, speed is almost the same also overseas but i download much faster with 3mb why???? Wow look it say i am in Europe, whats going on????
November 3, 200916 yr The speedtest.net site seems to have some technical troubles. There were weird results posted in other threads, like 35MB/s to Bangkok and 45ms ping to the USA, both of which are impossible. Give it some time to sort itself out. That said, the speed results look good. It's a 3MB line, and speed to the USA is the same as to BKK - pretty much what a premier line should do. The 5400mi distance to BKK is clearly a mistake...hmm... are you using a VPN of some sort?
November 3, 200916 yr Author Hi VPN??? is what, dont know anything.. November 3, 200916 yr If he would be using a VPN, his Thai ISP wouldn't show up in the test result (nor would the ping be that low). Apart from the distance the test looks good! ADSL gives you at best 89% of rated speed due to overhead, so 2.67 Mbps is about the best you'll ever see.
