Does anyone know of a reliable supplier in Thailand or elsewhere in SE Asia who can make custom made / branded USB Flash drives?

I have access to a few such options. They all have minimum quantities which are pretty high. So if you are only looking for a few then I can't help you, then I guess you would need a smaller local "brander". One company can custom make pretty much all shapes of USB drives in a rubber-like material (see attached image) the few I've seen "live" looked really cool.

Sorry about the quality of the image, I'm on my netbook here and it's from a PDF file, so I don't have my proper tools to extract a decent image from there.

Just across the border from HK is where the main factories are.

Could be worth a trip to suss it out.

Search tv (internet section) for shenzhen, that's where the HK Ebayers get their stocks from.
