White Cotton Tube Socks In Bangkok

I've been to every sporting goods store I can find in Bangkok. I even went all the way down to FBT at Ramkhamhaeng. I simply can not find anybody who sells a simple pair of cotton tube socks. Everything has heels, and none of them perfectly fit my rather strangely sized feet. This causes me to get blisters after walking in them for several kilometers.

I realize those of you that come from the wrong side of the pond may not appreciate how valuable good tube socks can be, but as a displaced American I am finding it impossible to do anything without them. Nothing makes me feel better than a thick over the calf cotton tube sock that stretches to exactly match my foot and fill the voids in my shoe when I try to get out and work off a decade plus of accumulated laziness.

Has anyone ever successfully managed to purchase a pair of tube socks in the LOS? If so, where exactly did you find them? I, of course, get blank stares when trying to explain to the sales staff I want a sock without heels. They must think I am some kind of deformed freak. "What, you mean farang feet don't have heels?"

If anyone has any advice the blisters on my feet would greatly appreciate it.
