Windows Update Website

Featured Replies

I've just gone onto the Microsoft windows update page

and have 2 critical updates for download.

The one I am querying is Microsoft .Net framework 1.0 SERVIVE PACK 3.

I wasn't aware there was a service pack 3 yet?

I'm running on service pack 1. Should I ignore this update

or is it ok to install it.

Thanks for you help with this.

It's service pack 3 for Microsoft .Net framework 1.0 only.

I think you're getting confused with Service Packs 1 + 2 for Windows, which covered a number of different parts of Windows, not just .Net framework.

Btw, it's been a while now since Windows Service Pack 2 came out. Maybe it's time you downloaded that, all the bugs should have been sorted by now if that's why you've been waiting so long.

The number of American companies that have actively excepted this service pack is....... 7%.

Regarding No of U.S companies upgrading to SP2

You will note that 25% of computers out of the group have been upgraded, but only 7% of companies have actively upgraded. With a further 52% not having a clue as to what they are going to do regarding upgrading. The remaining 40% have decided not to upgrade..
