Wow, very nice and interesting for who, like me , has never been in Koh Chang (sic!).

Beautiful magazine, big (116 pages) and full of colour pictures and informations.

Good luck to the publishers!

Fpr sure it's a nice coffee table magazine for anyone who hasn't been to Koh Chang before and who relies on tour agents or hotel websites to tell them what the island is like.

Some good photography but tempered with 'palm fringed, tropical paradise' type blurb with the usual plugs for advertisers featuring prominently and one of the most sychophantic interviews you will read anywhere.

The mag's been available for free download from www.kohchangmagazine.com for a year or so now regardless of how special a member you are :)

But maybe some of you will want to advertise in the 2009/10 edition . . . which I'd have thought should be out soon. (To be honest I didn't expect there would be one.)

The 2009/2010 is in production right now and will soon be available I am informed. So this is a little teaser...

We hope to be able to serve you the next issue as soon as it's out!

I have been there before and its actually my favorite place to go in Thailand. The roads are twisting with steep hills, very fun on the bike. It has a little bit of everything and is just the right size.

Just downloaded it and read a bit. Nice magazine with good information. Will need time to flip-through. Of course it must contain advertisements. AFAIK magazine production costs are covered mostly by advertisements like in news papers. Hope to find a download here if a new issue is out

Koh Chang WAS pretty nice before it went commercial like Koh Samui. Magazines catering to the new rich can make any place look beautiful if they are willing to spend the money. I've seen similar magazines devoted to Montana and westen living in the arid country of western USA. It doesn't bother me too much because there are still places to kick back and enjoy the simple life. The only problem I see is resorts charging American prices but paying Thai wages to their staff. The same is true for resorts in Mexico and Central America.

Been going to Koh Chang for five years now been staying at the same resort every year owned by a local thai family a stone throw from the sea .Have not seen much of the island my wife hates driving around far to many steep hills and there is a lot of building going on that means to have lot of trucks on the roads :D .I enjoy the resort we stay at at 1000baht high season for a bungalow 20 metres form the sea Iam not complaining :)

Nah, Koh Chang has changed but not in the way Samui has in terms of "paradise lost" - at least not yet.

I dont think you can compare Samui to Koh Chang. Tourists who I meet who have visited Samui before say Klong Prao beachr reminds them of Chaweng 15 years ago and a few days ago I met up with an American guy who has just sold his businesses on Samui and is planning to relocate to Koh Chang for the peace and quiet. He thought it was heaven compared to Samui.

So still along way to go before it can stake a claim to the the title of being the 'Most paradise lost' island
