Mobile Internet On Android In Thailand - Possible?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I got a local SIM [12call] and a 20 hour internet package.

The phone works fine as a phone but not for internet access.

I have a HTC "Dream" [that's what it's called in Australia, it's called the "G1" in America] which uses the Android OS and comes preloaded with google apps like gmail, googel docs, calendar etc. So that's why I'd like to use it over my older phone which is a HTC Tytn2 which runs windows mobile.

On the Android phone there is no "E" symbol up near the signal strength indicator, and if I try to browse any websites or access gmail it complains "connection lost". Yet it works fine on the older phone with windows.

Can anyone tell me why?

Or is there a fix?
