nikster
Somehow I missed this when it was first released - it turns out Sun offers a top notch Virtual Machine for free. It's open source too. Reviews say it's very fast and very good, though lacking some of the bells and whistles on VMWare Fusion and Parallels (e.g. Direct 3D and games support). The good news for Mac users is now: There's very good virtualization software for free. VirtualBox also runs on Linux but I guess most linux users will be aware of it already, and on Windows but there it's mostly interesting for server admins. shriah
There is direct 3d option in virtualbox but only for selected OS . If you are running Ubuntu and install XP as a guest OS you can install 3d option for xp. I think you can do the same in XP with Ubuntu .
