i was receiving a tripple entry TR visa valid ofr 6 month. i tried to get a nonb gut the consul was not there, and the lady could only give this visa.

i need to renew the drivinlicence in march 14,2010 and as well i want to buy a one year old car next month so i need 2 letter of residence

as i heard from immigration , NO

is there a way to get this document,,,,or a letter of residence from embassy ( german), and if is it still ok for the officals must it be translated or stamped by MFA.

if cannot are their ways in pattaya that i can get this letter via an agent or special infl. man.

and can i renew the licence more early and how long before expiry

You should be able to get the certificate from your Embassy.

You could also get at immi8gration depending on which office you use.

Still you can not renew your driving licence.

A five year driving license requires a Non-imm visa.

You can register a car in your name and depending on motor office you might get a 1 year DL.

so when like you speak the immigrtion office or embassy issue the residence certificate with TR visa , than i can renew licence, and not like you tell only 1 yr or not.

but they not issue without non xx visa. ( pattaya )

No, You can not renew your licence.

Renewed driving licences are for five years.

This require a Non-Immigrant visa, you have a tourist visa.

How ever, there are report that you can get another new one year driving license.

Bring with you the same papers as last time.

1. Copy passport, copy visa, copy TM.6 (arrival card), copy latest entry stamp.

2. Residence letter from Immigrations, Pattaya will issue for 200 Baht.

3. Medical certificate.

4. Copy your home county driving licence.

5. Copy IDP (international driving permit)

All in two copies if you want for both motorbike and car.

If you don't have licences from your country or a IDP you must take the tests again.

You must make a new provincial driving licence, valid for one year.

i have thaidrivinglicence 11 years, so for what i have to make new , and homedrivinglicence is expire in 2005 ( must renew all 10 yrs drivinglicence from spain ,a german i cant get back bcs i am not residence in germany)

so i belive i get renewal for 5 years if i have a letter of residence, if i have this, the trafficoffice dont care about what visa in passport,,only IMMIGRATION care

i know some people before can get letter for renew even with entry stamp for car and licence, but thats in rayong

when i can renew licence 3 month before or only a week before
