Hi

I can't for the life of me figure out how to uninstall/remove the "J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Installer" by Sun Systems (Java)

My FTP no longer works so need to uninstall and reinstall but I get the "Fatal error during installation" message whenever I try to uninstall.

Anyone with some advice on may be an alternative way to uninstall this program?

As a last resort, a system restore will fix it.

Maybe try booting into safe mode and unistalling there.

There is a special (FREE) program that do exactly what you want. It's called JavaRa and can be downloaded at: http://raproducts.org/. Try it.
