according to post's here a new silence box can increase power by 2-5 hp,more power = more noise agreed, counter productive you would think.

12drinkmore,i have ridden everyday for 32 year's in all weathers, never owned a cage, never will.First 4 years rode a steed with straight thru pipe's (loud) last 2 on my harley, now i eagerly await deliverly of my new 2010 model.Have you ever ridden a harley,i would say not and as you quoated another post to describe harley's as agriculture machinery, gives the impression you cannot think for yourself in other word's a numbskull.

I guess yammy Tmax 500 auto is a scooter?

Well my Tmax with Over-can was much louder than Ninja 650, actually triggered some car alarms throttled in a certain way.

A hogfat with a pot belly,i didn't realise you knew me. :):D:D

still not convinced a loud bike causes deafness.

Heh heh :D

I never said loud bikes cause deafness. That was the OP. I said I always wear earplugs because I believe that my hearing could be damaged from exhaust and wind noise. Even the best helmet gets loud if you go fast enough :D

Ride On!
